Shape. Bake. Wow!

Round. Square. Ring-shaped. All perfectly acceptable, classic shapes for cakes. But if you want to bake a cake that's a bit different, this set of six bendy silicone panels – two long, four short – slot together in any configuration to make exactly the shape and design you want, and deliver real how-did-you-do-that? wow.

How it works

Each silicone strip has a flexible aluminium core that holds it firmly in place once shaped, and one 'lock' and one 'key' end which slot easily together along the full depth of the band, so the pieces fit snugly together to prevent leaks. Once you've used as many bands as you need to create your shape, place it on top of a piece of baking parchment on a baking sheet or tray. Press down across the whole shape so that it sits flush with the tray all the way round, then simply fill with cake mixture the way you would any other tin and bake.

When your cake is baked, the mirror finish on the silicone strips ensures easy release – just lift away to leave your bake on top of the parchment, ready to cool and decorate.
