Lakeland Speciality Bakeware 12 Cup Flower Ring Tin

Product number: 73279

Give your muffins, sponges or doughnuts a floral twist with this durable Flower Ring Tin, which makes a dozen ready-for-decorating 8-petalled cakes with holes in their centres.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with ‘ordinary’ round-shaped fairy cakes and muffins, but if you want to present something a little more decorative at afternoon tea, little flower-shaped bakes will go down a treat. And when the cakes themselves are so pretty, there’s no need to spend ages decorating them. Bake a dozen halves, double them up and sandwich with jam and cream, and finish with a sprinkling of icing sugar – perfection!

You could go full-on floral with flavours like rose, lavender and orange blossom, and they’d look extra-lovely in a selection of themed colours to suit the season – daffodil yellow at Easter, poinsettia red at Christmas.

Super non-stick technology

This tin is coated with 3 layers of a super non-stick that ensures effortless release, no matter what you’re baking, and also makes it really easy to clean.

Heavy gauge and durable

Made from heavy gauge carbon steel that offers excellent heat conduction and long-lasting durability, this tin is heat-resistant up to 235°C and will give you years of reliable service.

"Pretty Bakes"

star star star star star

Unfortunately I made the error of over filling each mould (used a piping bag to pour batter in with), but the bakes came out lovely and moist. Also baked a lot quicker as the centre acts as a heating core. Due to overfilling I had to use a knife to help get the bakes out. Lifted out easily using the knife and my fingers. Did not come out when I flipped tin upside down and tapped it. Instructions said to grease the moulds, so not yet tried without greasing. Don't want to waste my batter!

"Great fun"

I greased the tin before filling and with a little smack the buns popped out of the tin (after cooling 5 minutes first). It would be good to have a few recipes on the Lakeland blog specifically for this tin.

"Very pleased - thank you Lakeland and reviewers."

I’m not an experienced baker so read the reviews and replies. Greased the tin with melted butter and pastry brush, put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes, dusted it with flour before putting in the mixture. Made the Victoria Sandwich recipe (Lakeland Blog). After filling 12 flower rings there was enough for a small cake (Wilton Easy Layer 15cm Cake Pan Set, from Lakeland). Baked for about 15 minutes, left the flower tray to cool for about 1 hour. The cakes came out quite easily, not by turning the tray upside down, but with a little nudge using a Jar Scraping Spatula (Lakeland).

"Perfect"

I love this tin. I use this so make mini bundt cakes. Lemon drizzle mmmmm. Great size and quality

"Perfectly pretty Rum Babas"

I love to use this tin for making Rum Babas. I grease the tin by brushing with melted butter and find that they pop out perfectly. I then soak in the rum syrup and pipe Chantilly cream into the hole in the centre.
