Unlike ordinary tins, a Pullman Loaf Tin has a slide-on lid which constrains the rise of the dough, leaving you with a squared-off loaf that’s perfect for even-sided picnic sarnies or toast that doesn’t peek out the top of your toaster, and just the thing for fruit loaf, banana bread or meat loaf.

Named for its resemblance to a Pullman railway coach, this 1lb loaf tin is a really useful size, whether you’re making just enough bread for a day or two, or baking a fresh loaf for a dinner party or picnic. We get lots of requests for a milk loaf tin, too, and this compact, straight-sided tin will fit the bill perfectly.
