Lakeland Speciality Bakeware Pullman 1lb Loaf Tin with Slide-On Lid

Product number: 73272

When it comes to making sandwiches with four straight crusts, a standard loaf tin just won’t do. Unlike ordinary tins, a Pullman Loaf Tin has a slide-on lid which constrains the rise of the dough, leaving you with a squared-off loaf that’s perfect for even-sided picnic sarnies or toast that doesn’t peek out the top of your toaster, and just the thing for fruit loaf, banana bread or meat loaf.

Named for its resemblance to a Pullman railway coach, this 1lb loaf tin is a really useful size, whether you’re making just enough bread for a day or two, or baking a fresh loaf for a dinner party or picnic. We get lots of requests for a milk loaf tin, too, and this compact, straight-sided tin will fit the bill perfectly.

Super non-stick technology

This tin is coated with 3 layers of a super non-stick that ensures effortless release, no matter what you’re baking, and also makes it really easy to clean.

Heavy gauge and durable

Made from heavy gauge carbon steel that offers excellent heat conduction and long-lasting durability, this bread tin is heat-resistant up to 235°C and will give you years of reliable service.

About the Lakeland Speciality Bakeware range

Our speciality bakeware not only looks good with its easy-on-the-eye champagne gold colouring, it performs superbly too, thanks to its super non-stick technology and heavy gauge construction. With a wide variety of tins for speciality bakes – everything from square loaves to shell-shaped madeleines – you’ll never be short of ideas for your next afternoon tea or dinner party. And, even better, they can all go in the dishwasher for easy cleaning and are PFOA and PTFE free.

"Good Value"

star star star star star

I bought this tin last week from Shrewsbury. I have been impressed with the loaves I've made using it. It is non stick (doesn't need greasing at all) and easy to clean. My only quibble is with the accompanying recipe. Why does it mix exact measurements in grams/ml for flour, butter and water and yet use such an imprecise measure as a teaspoon for salt and yeast?

support_agent A note from the team

Thanks so much for your review. Thats great feedback and I will definitely let our buying team know. If it helps, we do have measuring spoon sets that allow a precise measurement for a teaspoon size.

"The best bread tin"

star star star star star

I have been baking bread in a pullman tin for a number of years. My old one was aluminium and the non stick coating was wearing off. This tin is heavyweight steel and the coating seems to be very good quality. The pullman tin makes a flat topped loaf that is ideal to store in the freezer in a plastic container after slicing. No waste and always fresh.
