Making it possible to smoke foods the old-fashioned way, this high quality Kitchen Craft Home Made Stainless Steel Smoking Oven has a lock-tight lid to seal flavours inside while the food cooks. Suitable for use on your hob, barbecue or in a conventional oven, it makes what might be a slightly daunting cooking challenge into a can-do project for any keen home cook.

How it Works

Place a handful of soaked wood chips in the base of the main tray, and place the removable tray and rack on top. Arrange the foods you wish to smoke onto the rack and place the ‘oven’ onto your heat source. As soon as the chips have begun to smoke, clip on the lid, making sure the handle is in an upright position so it’s easy to remove once cooking time is up. For a stronger flavour or larger joints of meat, you can transfer the smoker to a pre-heated oven once cooking has started.

What to Smoke

Imparting delicious depths of flavour to all sorts of foods, smoking is suitable for vegetables, cheeses, meat, fish and poultry, and this generously-sized smoking oven makes it simple to impart layers of flavour with minimal effort. Try pre-soaking your wood chips in fruit juice, wine, beer or cider or add sprigs of herbs, or loose-leaf tea along with your chosen wood shavings for an even more intensely flavoursome result.

It comes with full care and use instructions, a delicious smoked salmon recipe and timing guides for a wide variety of meat and fish, and can go in the dishwasher once you’re done.

Oven safe up to 220°C. Not suitable for induction hobs.
