Renshaw Carnation Red Flower and Modelling Paste 250g
Product number: 72902
Nice and bright, this Carnation Red Flower and Modelling Paste is ideal for creating edible floral displays for celebration cakes. As the name suggests, it’s great for creating carnations, but it’s brilliant for romantic Valentine’s Day roses, peonies and more – red tractors, Ferrari cars, football sweaters – let your imagination run riot…
Flower & Modelling Paste
Renshaw’s Flower and Modelling Paste can be hand modelled, pressed into moulds, embossers and formers, or rolled out for use with cutters – it’s perfect for creating intricate shapes and flowers. It sets firmly, which makes it great for assembling small components, and gives amazing results when fine detail and structure are required.
Made in the United Kingdom, it’s suitable for vegans and vegetarians, and Kosher approved.
How to Use
Cut off the amount of paste you think you’ll require, and knead it until it’s soft enough to roll or model into the shapes you have planned, from flowers to figures. For a superior set, combine the Flower and Modelling Paste with an equal amount of any of the Renshaw Ready-to-Roll Icings. If you’d like a deeper red colour, add 1g of red paste colour per 100g of Flower and Modelling Paste.
Hints and Tips
- Finished flowers or models should be stored in a cool dry place.
- If you are assembling complex decorations, leave the pieces to dry for 24hrs.
- When flowers are dry, brushing the ‘petals’ with coloured Edible Silk lustres can help to make them look more realistic.
- Ensure cut out shapes are protected under plastic or clingfilm to prevent them from drying out, until you’re ready for them to set.
- Always keep unused paste well covered.
