The New Complete Pressure Cooker Cookbook

Product number: 72879

The New Complete Pressure Cooker Cookbook by Jennie Shapter is indeed complete in every detail – and the recipes have been tested in every type of pressure cooker available – stovetop, microwave and electric versions are all covered – with timings given to suit the best pressure settings for each variety.

Starting with a no-nonsense introduction to the ‘science’ of pressure cooking, Jenny Shapter offers plenty of interesting and practical advice for dedicated pressure cooking enthusiasts and beginners alike – explaining every aspect of all sorts of pressure cookers, with tips for using each variety, before she goes on to inspire us all with her recipes.

The eight chapters are filled with delicious and inspiring recipes, illustrated with over 500 photographs, and cover every type of cookery… from baked eggs to fiery curry, from kedgeree to Swedish meatballs, and from winter warmers to summer salads, you’re sure to find loads of tasty ideas and new family favourites, many of which can be served up after just minutes under pressure. There’s even room for scrumptious sweet treats like banoffee pie or lemon cheesecake – plus an authentic, but speedy, Christmas pudding recipe to inspire you for the festive season.

Glad to have recipes and ideas for my recently purchased electric pressure cooker also. Didn't realise I could use it as a slow cooker till I read this book.

"Two words: ‘Buy It’!"

Best pressure cookery book EVER. Whether you already own a pressure cooker or are thinking of investing in one, this is a must have for your library - without doubt. Photographs for each recipe and process provided for stove top (try chicken casserole with barley and the meatball recipe) as well as electric pressure cookers. Also a section on microwave pressure cookers (delicious leek & potato soup recipe, easy). I noticed that Lakeland as well as Tefal, Tower, Kuhn Rikon UK and others supplied equipment for recipe testing & photography for this publication - happy days!
