I was a bit concerned by the mixed reviews, but I found this super easy to use. The colours were as bright as I would want to eat (!) and the cake tasted fine. Probably not the best cake I’ve ever eaten but let’s face it, rainbow cake is all about the wow factor.
Bought this to make my son’s birthday cake and was so pleased with the result. The colours were really vibrant when baked and the cake tasted great! The Lakeland 5 layer cake tin set was the perfect size for baking it too! I’d definitely buy it again!

I made this cake for my daughter's birthday. It was really well received
Was looking to make a rainbow cake and this was the cheapest way to give it a try. It was simple to use and I recommend following the instructions with regards to lining your cake tins, I didn't and first attempt stuck to the tins. Second attempt worked out perfectly and the rainbow cake I made for my daughter's 30th looked amazing and tasted great.
