I brought this for my daughter and she loves it .she takes soup to work and it keeps hot till lunch good buy Lakeland

I fill this flask with boiling water while I heat up the food to go in it and that way the interior is nice and hot when I pour the water out and add the food quickly. That stops the food cooling too quickly when you add it and helps retain the heat until lunchtime. Good flask.

Bought this so I could have homemade soup for lunch at work. Hot soup placed in the flask at 8am was verging on tepid by 1pm - claim of keeping hot for 6 hours should be taken with a pinch of salt. On the plus side - no leaking, although I was careful to keep it as upright as possible. The lid makes a good bowl to eat/drink from. I'd be concerned to use it for a meal containing meat which needs to stay hotter.

I agree with the previous review, food placed in flask extremely hot (and getting flask as hot as possible plus wrapping it in insulation) is only tepid or Luke warm by lunchtime. Not very effective in my view, and it was not cheap. I will be trying out another brand unfortunately.

I was given this as a gift but despite washing it according to the instructions a multitude of times, there remains to be a horrific smell which has rendered the container totally unusable. It smells of chemicals and plastic, and when food is stored in it, the food absorbs the smell. I have never had this issue with a thermal vacuum container, and as such, I am left totally perplexed. Is this a production line defect or is this solely a faulty product? If only there were an option for 0 stars for the product. However, Lakeland were very friendly and helpful on the phone.
