"Great for gluten free pastry etc" star star star star star I personally find this much better then using a regular rolling pin. I use it most for gluten free pastry, which often seems to be crumbly and sticky to everything but itself! Yes I still use extra flour to aid it not sticking and it’s noticeably easier to use (especially if rolled onto something like baking paper to help transfer the delicate pastry into dish etc.) I also find it easier on the wrists as the handles stay sturdy and the central cylinder rolls. As it does having moving parts it does take longer to dry but I personally find that a minor inconvenience for the other benefits.
"So not non stick" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I bought this rolling pin - replacing my wooden one. However while it is easy to roll there are no non stick qualities about it at all. Stuck shockingly to my pastry! The old wooden one was better. support_agent A note from the team Unlike wood stainless steel won't absorb any odours or flavours. You could try cooling both the rolling pin and the pastry or icing etc. in the fridge before rolling. You could also try a dusting of flour or icing sugar.
"Quality item" star star star star star Having used it yet but it's a well made gadget, not too heavy, smooth surface.
"Great improvement on its predecessor" star star star star star So, goodbye to my old inefficient wooden rolling pin and welcome new, easy to use, non stick one. I wish we'd met years ago! My latest batch of yogurt/flour flatbreads (a VERY sticky dough) were much easier to roll out than previous ones.
"Easy to use, quick drying" star star star star star Always had a wooden rolling pin before and needed two so that it could be washed and thoroughly dry before re-use. Only need one now!
