"What a strange-looking object" I thought when I unpacked my last delivery box from Lakeland. But it fitted in the drawer with my other utensils (nearly all from Lakeland) and when I next bought avocados, I thought I would try it out. And it did the otherwise tricky job of mashing the flesh without any difficulty, resulting in a lovely smooth gloop. So even though I'm hardly a millennial, I think I'm going to use it a lot.

The dual ended tool is fine in theory, but in practice you need to rinse it between switching ends to avoid getting avocado goo over your fingers. I'd also say that the masher is only marginally more effective than a fork, and considerably less effective than a spud masher. You probably won't use this much even if, like me, you regularly eat avo on toast.

Purchased on 22nd and tried out on a ripe avocado the next day, I was very disappointed as it flexed and bent upwards, I had to chop the avocado into quite small pieces before the masher was any use.
