5 Poinsettia Sugarcraft Cake Toppers

I purchased the Edible Sugarcraft Poinsettia flowers to decorate a Christmas cake for an elderly relative. I struggled initially with the instructions as to removal from the packaging as the writing is very small, white on a red background, but the actual removal of the icing flowers is very tricky indeed. I was unable to lift any of the flowers with a palette knife as suggested and all of them broke. I was able to stick them back together with apricot jam but it was a bit of a shame really.

Having read the previous review and following the Lakeland instructions in response to the review, and the instructions on the box EXACTLY, 2 of the 5 of these broke. So pretty, but I would not recommend. I really was extremely careful and the card is so very thick it is almost impossible to get them off in one piece.

I tried to remove these from the card following the instructions but they all cracked when the card was bent. Threw them all away!

They look lovely but are impossible to remove from the card however you try and do it. Don't waste your money - would be zero stars if that was possible.

I should have read the previous reviews on the Poinsettia cake toppers, but didn’t! My fault! Like other reviewers I attempted to remove the flowers from the card, very carefully. However slowly I tried they just cracked and crumbled. They are extremely brittle and would benefit from being attached to pliable plastic or silicone strips in order to peel them off. I am surprised at ‘Lakeland’ selling these. I was intending to use on a Christmas cake I had made, but have found an alternative. Disappointed. I would give 0 stars if possible!
