With a sharp stainless steel blade, this tool quickly and easily removes stems and dense cores. Simply pierce the stem with the tip of the tool, push and twist a little to core for boiling or roasting, or twist further to free the leaves for salads and stir fries.

"Not Recommended"

This is very disappointing. The spike needs a lot of force to make a hole and the twisting action simply vaguely loosens a couple of the outside leaves. It is hard work on the wrists and simply does not work adequately. It is much quicker and easier to simply use a small sharp knife.

"CHEF'N TWIST & SPROUT NOT RECOMMENDED"

I wish I had read a previous customer's review before I bought this item in store. A very inefficient tool in terms of both it's actual performance and the time taken to position and prepare a sprout. It is awkward to use in that it requires an uncomfortable twisting action of the hand in order to core the sprout and release it's outer leaves. The latter does not always happen. A small sharp knife with a pointed blade does the job much better and in less time.
