I totally disagree with the other reviewer. I bought my Chef`n Stalkchop in the sale and it has proved to be perfect for cutting florets of brocolli and cauliflower with just a sharp push down on the floret you want to cut. Much quicker than trying to wriggle a knife blade into tightly packed florets. Used every week and washes easily and comes up like new.
Bought this reduced price and surprised to find it works really well for cauliflower and broccoli florets. Not sure it was worth full price, but less fiddly than a knife
Frankly it's useless. It's a dull, slightly curved scraper blade which ends up mashing half the cauliflower florets trying to get through the stems, or you have to leave far longer steams, which defeats the point of using it. We've ended up consigning ours to the back of a drawer and gone back to using a knife. It's also particularly difficult to work with if you have joint or grip problems since you have to thrust straight down with force rather than cut the stalks because the edge is so dull.
