I use this all the time in the microwave, for standing stuff on so it catches bits that might boil over, to lift out bowls that would be too hot to touch, to warm up a scone... My last one was white (and it met with an accident) but I like the red replacement. One of those simple things which make life easier.
I bought one in shop and have just decided we need another one! I read the unfavourable reviews, and felt compelled to defend our wee tray. It is ideal for putting under bowl of baked beans, soup, porridge, custard, rice pudding to enable safe removal of very hot bowl from microwave. I use it for my porridge bowl, and as the weather turns colder, I keep finding that my husband has stolen it before I can use it!

This red plate is of very much lower quality than the previous white one. The moulding is quite rough (ridges across the surface). It feels lighter and is by16 grams.

The previous white one was much sturdier. This one feels quite flimsy and cheap. Bring back the old one!
