I'm still experimenting with this clever gadget using it for steaming vegetables, fish and chicken. Most impressed with the retained flavours. i hope to move on to rice and couscous next week!
First class product, does what it should do in a very convenient shape and style. Well made and very easy to clean and store.
Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store. I have made casseroles in this & have steamed fish & vegetables. I had to check the food I was cooking at intervals so I didn't over or undercooked it, but it was simple to work out the timings. The lid fits on easily & stays put, & the steamer does not collapse when in the microwave. It's a great time-saver if I don't feel like cooking a casserole slowly on the stovetop or in the oven, or don't have the time. Very pleased with it.
I steam all my veg in the microwave which makes the usual plastic brittle over time. This steamer works wonderfully and can be as big/small as you need. Only downside is there is no basket so retrieving your veg can be a little clumsy but this is due to it being collapsible so it's swings and roundabouts. All-in-all a great bit of kit.
Perfect for steaming things like beetroot in the microwave. Much quicker than roasting and less messier and quicker than boiling. Also really great for steaming other veg or part steaming potatoes.
