Used this to make a really nice artisan bread, which turned out just like what you get from bakeries. The people who rated this product 1 star probably did not use it correctly. You need to coat generously with rice flour to prevent dough sticking to the sides.

Was worried about reviews saying that the dough sticks. When floured with a rice flour the basket works great and the dough just falls out of the basket. Used several times with no issues.
I'd tried with oiled bowls and with floured tea towel lined bowls unsuccessfully to prove and turn out a sourdough round for baking, but the dough stuck and deflated in my attempts to get it out. The dough comes out easily with these baskets, as long as you copiously flour using a pastry brush and getting it in all the grooves. And the baked loaf looks impressive - ridged and floured and a good texture.
Unfortunately this product sounded perfect, but in reality it just doesn't perform. I've tried using this twice now, and on both occasions it was a failure. Even with the bowl heavily floured I found that when proving dough it expanded into the grooves and spaces and got itself well and truly stuck. Luckily I also bought the more expensive silicone proving bowl at the same time and it's just fantastic.
