Unlike European knives, which typically have bevelled edges, Asian knives have tighter-angled, straight edges, which means they need to be sharpened in a different way. Designed specifically for Asian blades, this two-stage Asian Knife Sharpener uses ceramic rods and features a ‘fine’ slot to hone dull edges and an ‘extra-fine’ slot to produce a razor-sharp edge.
Eliminating the need to use a traditional butchers’ steel, this knife sharpener uses ‘V’ shaped ceramic rods which restore the edge to your blades with a simple pull, just like slicing through a loaf of bread. This sharpener also has a soft-grip handle and non-slip base to help hold it steady while in use.
For added convenience, this knife sharpener is suitable for both right and left-handed use.
