The spring-loaded handle applies all the pressure so you don’t have to – just chop your fruit or veg so it fits in the top, clip the lid into place and turn to start off your spirals. The integrated bowl collects all the curls, leaving absolutely no mess on the work surface, and the non-slip base holds it steady as you go. And when you’re done, the compact design means it’s easy to stow away too.

Just bought one of these today, its very easy to use, more compact than the normal Spiralizer that I already have, so takes up less worktop space, and with the turning handle being on the top rather than the side is less stressful on my arthritic right shoulder. I shall be using this regularly for making "spaghettii" and spriralizing veg for salads and garnish. Well worth the money.
I'm surprised by the poor reviews of this product. I love it! Use it with courgettes, sweet potatoes, carrots - all very successul. Two points - don't be too heavy-handed, it's only plastic and clips together. Treat it gently and it'll be fine. Also, the instructions are appalling. I bought mine instore and the assistant got a carrot and showed me how to use it. I think I might have struggled otherwise. But do persevere - for the money, I think it's great.
Product used daily ? why some reviewers have a problem Carrots, sweet potato, butternut squash, beetroot, courgettes,peeled broccoli stems spiralize easily.Best if veg uniform in thickness and cut to size. Ensure base on level surface and selected blade rotated and clicked into position. Centre veg onto round protruding blade, pressing down slightly.Place spiked top unit into position,press down ,ensure lid locks into place. Hold unit with one hand , rotate handle, uniform speed till no resistance felt. Remove lid and waste veg. Blades and spike area cleaned easily with a small brush.

This is a perfect solution for smaller kitchens and I can't say I've had any of the problems previous buyers mentioned. Gives me really satisfying, long curls that are SO FUN TO EAT. Mrs Blythe's instructions further down are spot on, I'd only add that if you find the top lid (with the spring) hard to push down, just cut your veg a quarter inch shorter. You'll still get veeeeeeeeeeeery long curls! Make sure to impale the veg on the round blade, even if it seems counter-intuitive. ENJOY YOUR CURRRRLS!!!
I bought this mainly for the grandchildren (3 & 5 years old) who enjoy cooking and baking. After reading the bad reviews I was a bit worried if I made the wrong purchase, however, thanks to the customer giving some helpful hints I am pleased to say it worked fantastic first time round. Definitely big enough for a single person's portion and I will use it again and again.
