Culpitt Cake Modelling Icing Paste - 100g Metallic Gold 5 "Easy to use - with patience!" Miss Osman 07 October 2019 I bought this product last year for a Christmas cake. I was a little wary as most reviews were negative, but it's very similar to silicone clay: you just need to be patient and work the paste until it's soft and pliable. Follow the instructions! It will be brittle and crumbly to begin with, but does go soft within a few minutes of kneading. I'm not a professional cake decorator by any means, but I could make this work! I'll definitely buy it again.
Culpitt Cake Modelling Icing Paste - 100g Metallic Gold 2 "Usefull" Miss Milne 19 April 2018 I have used this a few times, i find it very solid and difficult to get going and also the shiny gold stays on your hands so i always end up painting the end result to make it shiny which works out being a little expensive. I dont think i will buy this again. Sorry. A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry you've been disappointed with this and we've passed your feedback to our buying team.
Culpitt Cake Modelling Icing Paste - 100g Metallic Gold 2 "Doesn't harden!" Mrs Cole 14 September 2017 Used to make looped bows and flowers for 50th Golden Wedding cake. Thought it would save time having gold paste ready made. Hard to work with- just break off a little at a time to really knead to get supple. Takes ages. Then easy to roll, model etc. After 7 days however still had not hardened. Very pliable so no good for intended use. OK for flat flowers stuck in cake but not for shaped stand up items. Ended up making ordinary yellow bows from gumpaste to insert inside gold loops of this paste to ensure gold loops stood up ok. Next time would paint yellow gumpaste gold. A note from the team Thank you for your review and for taking the time to speak to us today. We're sorry to hear you've experienced this problem and thanks again for your feedback.
