How Does it Work?
Just open the Drop app on your iPad and turn on your scale to link to it wirelessly. You’ll find hundreds of tasty, tried and tested recipes in the app, together with beautiful photographs, helpful videos and handy tips. Once you’ve chosen a recipe, just click on “Start Recipe!” to get going. Drop can rescale recipes depending on how many servings you need or if you run low on an ingredient and will refresh the recipe straightaway, so you don’t have to nip out to the shops halfway through a baking session.
The Scale
Drop’s sleek scale is covered in kitchen-friendly, heat-resistant silicone. But it’s not just about good looks. The precise wireless scale can weigh in ounces or grams; from a fraction of a teaspoon to 6 kilograms (just over 13lbs). A touch button on the front allows you to interact with the app without ever tapping your iPad with floury fingers.
The App
The Drop Kitchen app includes hundreds of tasty recipes, photographs, helpful videos and handy tips to ensure great results every time you fire up the oven. Follow easy step-by-step tried and tested recipes, and access clever features such as Recipe Rescaling.

The recipe app which has over 260 recipes. It contains all types of food allergies. It only works iPad mini upwards. You can adjust the quantity of potions you want to make.
Very disappointed. The scale is tiny and does not have an LCD display so is useless for use as an everyday scale. I find them too much trouble to use regularly and they have been put in a cupboard. When baking you need to work out how to stop your IPad going to sleep and keep touching IPad screen with floury fingers. I could forgive this if the results were better than the traditional methods, but they are not. I also think that the recipes are very Americanised so not useful for the UK market. In short a waste of money for me, but if you don't give new tech a whirl you will never know!

Should not be listed as 'weighing scales' can only be used with Apple products. Purchased as a gift, unable to return to store as I was unaware rules had been changed if no receipt, due to selling products that are not their own. They are only 'weighing scales' if used with the app, not clear at time of purchase. Very disappointed at not being offered a replacement! If available, would not have left any star rating, for the product or customer service!
