This lower-calorie version of Ball’s classic pectin setting mix is designed to help you capture all the freshness and flavour of your favourite hand-picked fruit in your jams and jellies, and is carefully blended with just the right amount of pectin for the best results.
What is Pectin?
Pectin is a natural ingredient derived from the fibre found in the skin of certain fruits. Apples, for example, are naturally high in pectin, which is why they are very firm. Pectin is also found in the rinds, seeds and membranes of citrus fruits.
Consistent, Tastier Results
In preserves, pectin works as a thickening agent, helping your jams thicken up quicker and reducing the boiling time required to offer more consistent results and fruitier tasting jams and jellies. This mix contains just the right amount for perfect results every time.
