Multi Cooka 4.5L Family Multi & Slow Cooker

My husband bought this Multi Cooka for me to use when we went to our holiday cottage so that we can prepare different meals during the day ready for our evening meal. I tried it at home first, using the slow cooker programme and the delay timer WOW it was great, a lovely tasty meal awaited us that evening. I have since made two batches of soup, each taking only one hour and 3 different meals in the slow cook setting. I have also used the saute programme to pre cook onions and meat. my only criticism is the recipe booklet that came with it, basic family day to day ones would have been better.

Bought this few days ago, as my old one broke. Excellent product, does exactly what it says, nice quality food, cooks well, really good quality bowl, non stick definitely, not like they used to be. easy to use. All the programs you need for everyday cooking-it has got it. VERY low energe use, checked. Steaming basket is not plastic as you get in others, its stainless steel, good quality utensils. I am very experienced multi-cooker user. Shame it doesnt come with a proper recipe book. would recommend. EXCELLENT PRICE, real bargain. Does stir as well, sauted potatoes are delicious :)

This is excellent. Very good value for money. I have made several slow cooked meals and made ordinary meals and they have all turned out really tasty and piping hot.I find it an asset to anyone who wants to come home to a cooked meal. The Instruction book however, is abysmal. I think it was written by someone in a hurry as some of the basics have been left out and I had to do a lot of experimenting with the timer and temperature settings instead of finding the answers in the book. I would like to give this product 5 stars but the instruction book lets it down,

For a number of years I have had a Lakeland 2 portion slowcooker, but the pot is on it's last legs so I needed a new one. I wanted to get something that did more than just slowcook. I have had my Multi Cooka a few weeks and have cooked things using various programmes. I prefer to take lunch into work so the large pot has been useful in providing 4-5 servings (but it can make quite a bit more). The pot is non-stick too. The stirring paddle is the only downside - food piles up behind it rather than being stirred properly, so I only use it on the sautee programme. All in all, I'm very pleased!

I don't write reviews often but felt compelled to after purchasing this. I followed recipes tried and tested in my old slow cooker, they were awful! Pulled pork was chewy, risotto was overcooked, clumpy and thick. Terrible. There is no low/high setting you select a temperature between 40-170. I thought perhaps I was using too low or too high a temperature. I called Multicooka customer services to find out (not Lakeland). After 50 minutes on hold I simply gave up and will be returning. My advice - stick to a good old slow cooker.
