Following the success of the round Easy Layer Cake Pan Set, we thought you'd like to try this oblong version. The Wilton Easy Layer Loaf Tin set lets you bake all your sponges at once to make a multi-layered cake, but how you arrange those layers is limited only by your imagination.
You can keep it simple, of course, and just make an oblong cake that's easy to portion. Or you could be a bit more ambitious: make a fun ‘brick' cake, a layered take on the traditional Yuletide log. You could even go for something more sculptural: use for mini Swiss rolls or an alternative battenburg, even millefeuille or an ice cream layer cake. Wilton have included some recipes to get you started, but we're sure if you let your imagination run wild you can come up with even more inspirational recipes.
When you've finished baking, the non-stick coating makes the tins easy to clean, while they neatly stack for storage until you embark on your next baking masterpiece.

I was given these for my birthday , have just made a chocolate layer cake with my usual recipe. 6oz butter 6 oz caster sugar 3 eggs 1 tbsp milk 5 oz s-r flour 1 oz cocoa powder 1 tsp baking powder divided exactly 6 oz mix in each tin and bake @180deg fan for 15 mins perfect
Reading a previous review I too would welcome some UK recipes as the Wilton only have instructions for packet mixes!! If used rate 4
Thank you for placing your review. We do recommend a suggested recipe with this set to start you off but these layer cake tins can be used with your favorite recipes and mixtures to create your own individual cakes. Any excess mix can be used in cupcakes or smaller sponges.
Having read the reviews, I decided to buy this product. I used the recipe given by another reviewer (thank you!). On my first attempt I made a multi-coloured cake which my mother, who has dementia, absolutely loved. I have now bought Wilton's Colour Right food colouring set and I hope for even better results. Like other reviewers I would value a recipe sheet with recipes from scratch with UK measures (metric and imperial), ie the same recipes but written using original ingredients, not from a cake mix.
Tried my first layer cake yesterday. Noting the helpful comments about the round layer cake made sure they greased well. Not impressed with the wilton recipes that used UK packet cake mixes - tried to convert a US rectangular recipe from web which didn't anything like the height I was hoping for. Would welcome it if the baking experts of Lakeland could come up with a recipe suited for UK for these wonderful tins. Not giving up though and husband happy to do Quality Assurance on my second attempt. With a recipe or two on your websites will rate it as 5*
