Nobody likes throwing fruit and veg away so anything that extends its shelf life is welcome in our range. That’s why we love this food storage container from OXO Good Grips.

With its 1.5L capacity, it is perfect for berries and smaller quantities of fruit and veg. The GreenSaver container features a removable, activated carbon filter that absorbs ethylene, the gas that causes food to over ripen and spoil. By absorbing this gas, OXO’s GreenSaver container keeps everything fresher for longer.

OXO have also made these containers adjustable to different conditions. The vents in the lid can be adjusted to provide the optimum humidity level for different types of produce. Additionally, because your food sits in an elevated basket, which can also be used as a colander, proper airflow is maintained and moisture build-up is reduced, preserving contents for longer.

Replacement carbon filters are also available.

"Love it!"

This product works even better than the vegetable preserving bags I purchased from Lakeland earlier! Very happy with my purchase.

Really amazing product, price is high, but it is worth! Recommend for those, who are thinking of buying this.

"Good product but size is misleading."

I received this product as a free gift so complaining is probably not appropriate. However, I feel that saying this box is 1.5 litre is misleading. When the basket is inserted capacity is reduced by one third, to 1 litre. Also the filter compartment protrudes into the box limiting what products you can put in it. Grapes are a no go unless your bunch is very small. I think the design could be better if the filter was fitted higher up.

"Very disappointing"

After reading previous reviews here and elsewhere I was very pleased to receive this product, however, I am very disappointed. First of all, as another reviewer noted, you cannot get much in it - I couldn't fit a full punnet of strawberries in it. Second, and most importantly, I have found it did not preserve my food any longer than keeping it in its packaging. I have tried with various kinds of fruit but each time it deteriorated and was wasted. The Stayfresh Longer bags work really effectively so I have gone back to them. I would not recommend this product.
