I bought this with my new slo-cooker expecting exciting new recipes. I opened it yesterday only to find the usual type recipes I have used for years with slo-cookers. I was expecting more exciting new ideas. Really a waste of money. Beautifully presented but the content really only for the novice.

Come on at least include a few everyday recipes to give us an introduction to slow cooking. But there wasn't a single recipe that inspired me to try it. I have been cooking all my life and fancy cooking is not for every day use but I would have thought that using a slow cooker in itself meant an easy more practical way of cooking.
The recipes can be adapted, but we're sorry this didn't meet your needs.
Sorry Lakeland but this book is not for me. I may be 75 but am an experienced cook! The main objection is the print colour of the actual method - very difficult to see easily. There are also probably only about half the recipes that I would use. I'm afraid the newly delivered book is already in a charity bag and I'll stick to my trusted Good Food slow cooker books.

purchased this to go with my Lakeland Slow Cooker, basically to get a few new ideas. Its a really good little book. Lots of colourful recipes, its easy to follow and some nice desert recipes, which i wouldnt have thought of using a slow cooker for. Well done Lakeland as always
