Quality
Made from heavy-duty 1mm thick carbon steel that’s thicker than most you can buy, it’s loose-based for easy release and will see you through many a baking session. With a double layer of Quantum 2 professional non-stick so nothing gets left behind, it has no rolled edges where water can get trapped so it’s safe to go in your dishwasher.
Performance
Superb heat distribution with no hot spots means all your creations will be evenly cooked, and the generously sized handles with sure-grip silicone inserts make lifting it in and out of the oven a breeze.
No rolled edges
The rolled edges found on most bakeware introduce a difficult-to-dry space underneath the rim, and the edges themselves can be difficult to coat. We decided to leave the edges of out bakeware unrolled, removing the risk of water traps and uncoated carbon steel edges that might rust – making them completely dishwasher safe.
About the Lakeland Ovenware Range
We spent two years obsessing over every detail of our Lakeland Ovenware Range to make every piece the best it can be. This tray is perfect for quiche and also the right shape for ready made pastry. I used to live in France where ready made pastry comes in circles fro round quiche tins. This shape makes a lot more sense in the UK. I've really enjoyed using it.
I make a lot of quiches for our slimming world group and find that the oblong ones much easier to cut into pieces for 'tasters'. Very satisfied with this product.
This quiche/ pie tin is absolutely spot on for making all types of pies and flans. It's heavy duty and robust. The base is detachable and it's very easy to remove the flan/pie without the dreaded angst of will it come out clean It does!!!You can feel the quality of the materials used. It's also nice and big so that after all the effort of making pies from scratch, there is plenty left over to pop in the freezer to save for those days when you just don't feel like making the effort "home made" requires. It's bit pricier than other pie tins but the quality and ease of use makes it worth it.
Really liked that the product was rectangular rather than circular like most flan dishes. Very good for bakes and the quality of the metal is very nice. Also appreciate the smoothness of the product and the presentability of the tin due to the colour and design.
