Lakeland Loose Based Deep Round 15cm Cake Tin
Product number: 70181
Ideal for making fruit cakes, birthday cakes or a tiered celebration cake in combination with other sizes in the range, this premium quality, loose-based tin turns out evenly cooked bakes with no burnt bits.
Quality
Made from heavy-duty 1mm thick carbon steel – thicker than most you can buy – it’s been given a double layer of Quantum 2 professional non-stick and is oven safe up to 240°C. And because it has no rolled edges where water can get trapped and cause damage, it can go straight in the dishwasher for easy clean-up.
Performance
Offering superb heat distribution, so all your bakes will be evenly cooked through, it also has useful fill lines on the inside, so you’ll know exactly when to stop adding your mixture for a perfect tin-filling rise. Generous handles with sure-grip silicone inserts make getting it in and out of the oven easy and, for space-saving storage, it’s designed to stack neatly with the other round cake tins in the range.
No rolled edges
The rolled edges found on most bakeware introduce a difficult-to-dry space underneath the rim, and the edges themselves can be difficult to coat. We decided to leave the edges of our bakeware unrolled, removing the risk of water traps and uncoated carbon steel edges that might rust – making them completely dishwasher safe.
About the Lakeland Ovenware Range
Whatever you’re cooking or baking, you’ll find the right tin for the task in our Lakeland Ovenware range. Made from heavy-duty carbon steel with a Quantum 2 professional non-stick coating, they give a firm foundation to help your recipes turn out brilliantly. They’re dishwasher safe, durable and reliable, but it’s the extra little details we’ve added that sets them apart from the rest.
It’s practical improvements, like handy fill lines, making same-shaped pieces stack and adding pouring noses to our roasters, that makes our range outshine most others. We’ve also given our tins’ exteriors a lovely pearlescent finish so they look really special too. Because why shouldn’t your ovenware look as good as your roasts and bakes do?
Perfectly paired with our 15cm Baking Parchment Liner Paper Circles
This Loose Based 15cm Cake Tin can also be used with our 11cm and 20cm round tins to create the Nutcracker 3-Tier Drum Cake.
Internal 15cm Dia. x 8cm H.

Great, little cake pan which I have used lots to make smaller cakes for my family!
I have been baking for 54 years and I have to say that these are the best tins I have ever used. Everything bakes well in them and doesn't stick
Why do you keep making cake tine with sloping sides, it's incredibly frustrating. I don't want a cake that gradually gets larger towards the bottom, it doesn't look right! I've given up with these tins and have bought a new range instead and am thrilled with the results.
Thank you for your review - we're sorry you're disappointed with the shape of our cake pans. We do hope the alternative you've sourced continues to serve you well.
I bought two of these, together with a pack of 15cm baking paper lining circles which were displayed next to them. The tins are good quality and bake evenly but as another reviewer has pointed out, the sides are sloping, such that 15cm circles won’t fit in the bottom of them because the bottom is only about 14cm wide. You therefore can’t line them with pre-cut circles which is a huge faff and (should you discover this mid lemon drizzle), utterly infuriating. I ended up returning them and buying tins that I could line easily.
Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear of your disappointment and we're glad our store colleagues were able to put things right for you. We'll be sure to pass your comments on to our Buyers.
