"Crazy patchwork"

star star star star star

I know this is not the intended use but these muslin squares are just the right size as a base for crazy quilting. I make several to join together to make floor quilts for my friends granchildren. Please don't stop making them it saves me so much time in cutting out.

"lavender bags"

star star star star star

I cut the muslin squares into 4 then put some dried lavender in the centre, gather and tie.

"Good for seaweed!"

star star star star star

I use these when pressing seaweeds - they stop the seaweed sticking to the paper. I realise that this might not be the main use, but they are just right for it (incl. size).

"Just the Job"

star star star star star

Some traditional kitchen items just never become redundant or outdated and this is one of them. I use these squares for all kinds of things (as well as straining jellies and jams I also strain dust, old bits of wick and similar rubbish out of melted wax from old candle ends - then I make new candles!) They are one of the most useful things I have in my kitchen and no cook should be without them!

"brilliant idea"

star star star star star

These little squares are absolutely the right size for a variety of kitchen requirements, they strain oil, jelly, yoghurt , wrap homemade sweets, top jam pots in fact too many things to list. Brilliant idea - as ever.
