It is a good design idea but for the fact that cleaning of the underside is difficult as parts of the hollow underside of the rim are inaccessible for thorough cleaning purposes. These being egg cups, ridding them of bacteria in hidden spots may therefore be a compromise. Where the egg sits is also a bit shallow for large eggs. A little extra tweaking with the design is necessary me thinks.

We would recommend using a smaller spout brush when hand washing or alternatively these are suitable for dishwashing at a higher temperature.
