Laser® Cheese Plane

What a great cheese plane, so much so I've bought another one! It glides through the hardest of cheese. You can adjust the thickness of the slices by carefully tilting the end of the plane to suit you.

Bought this to replace one which was not sharp and the handle kept coming away from the slicer.Found this to be excellent as the handle is moulded on to the slicer, also as another reviewer commented it is very sharp. Perfect slices every time!!!!

I would not recommend this cheese plane. It is so blunt that it won't slice the cheese and on the second use was consigned to the back of the kitchen drawer until a replacement could be found. Definitely not one of the best Lakeland products out there and miles away from the quality of their other kitchen utensils.

I brought this with a view to replace my old cheese plane which had worked very well for many years but had just started to not glide so smoothly. Thought this one sounded good on the write up, doesn't ever need sharpening etc. But the new cheese laser plane works much less well than my old cheese plane. With the new one I really struggled to cut the cheese, it sticks and I have to apply a lot of pressure to get one slice of cheese. Also I've noticed when you finally manage to get a slice it's a lot thicker slice than my old cheese plane too.So looks like this one is destined to be binned. Leaving me with the dilema where can I get one as good as my old one used to be?

I have had this cheese plane for about 4 years now and it still works perfectly, however it is so sharp I have cut my thumb a number of times as the plane finishes slicing!!!Would not hesitate to replace this if it broke.
