Macphie Creme Brulee Dessert Mix 1 Litre

If you thought making crême brûlée was too much of a faff to bother with, think again. With this Crème Brûlée Dessert Mix from Macphie, you can make ten little desserts every bit as rich and indulgent as the real thing, but with barely any standing at the hob stirring and absolutely no sign of a bain marie or water bath – this really is the cheat’s way, but no one need ever know.
Just gently heat the contents of the carton to 85-90°C, stirring constantly, then pour into individual ramekins and cool slightly. Refrigerate for between 1 and 2 hours, then just before serving sprinkle with a little demerara sugar and caramelise with a blowtorch for that delicious sugary crunch.
This delicious dessert mix is suitable for vegetarians, and tastes as good as any pud you’d have at a restaurant – no one will ever guess yours has come out of a carton!

This was very simple to use and delicious. I made 8 generous servings from 1x pack. For the brulee I suggest you use a chef's blow torch. There is a recommended recipe with Cointreau but I just used it as a standard Creme Brulee. The mix can be kept in the cupboard before use, saving fridge space before use.
This is so easy to make and very nice too. It makes at least 8 ramekins. For a change, I flavoured some with coffee and others with lemon curd. I only wish the carton was half the size, like the ones Lakeland used to have.
This is the nicest brulee I have tasted. It is quick and easy to make. Texture is soft. Flavour is beautiful and rich and creamy. Would highly recommend.
This had a really unpleasant taste that the whole family tasted. We were so disappointed. It doesn’t even deserve one star.
