Lakeland Digital Soup Maker

Product number: 63492

Velvety smooth tomato and basil soup, wonderfully warming vegetable broth, steamed fish, beautifully blended sauces, delicious fruity smoothies and juices… our Digital Soup Maker puts all this prep power at your fingertips, and it’s so easy to use thanks to the digital control panel.

What you get

  • Base motor unit – with powerful 350W motor and easy-to-use controls, with buttons for Smooth soup, Chunky soup, Steam, Reheat, Blend, Juice and Pulse and a digital countdown timer.
  • 1.5 litre blending jug – made from stainless steel, with measurements on the side from 800ml up to 1.5 litres, maximum fill lines for hot and cold food, and a sturdy, comfortable handle for easy pouring.
  • Stainless steel steam basket – holds fish or veggies above the base of the jug for steaming.
  • Plastic lid – with a detachable cap in the middle so you can add extra ingredients at any time while you’re cooking.
  • Instruction booklet – includes hints, tips and recipes to get you started.

Hot food and cold drinks at your fingertips

Simple controls make it super-easy to select the function you want. You can choose between smooth and chunky soup, steam and reheat presets for hot food – there’s an indicator light above each to show which programme you’ve selected. There are blend or juice buttons to mix up cold sauces, smoothies and fruit juices, a pulse button for quick bursts of power (great for tougher ingredients and cleaning the jug), and an easy-to-read LED countdown timer ensures you can see exactly how long is left to go.

And so you don’t accidentally press the wrong button for the ingredients you’ve added, you have to press the ON/OFF button once you’ve made your selection, so you can check which light’s lit up and change your mind if you need to!

Smooth or chunky soup in minutes

In just 25 minutes, you can be sitting down to bowls full of piping hot, smoothly-blended home-made soup, made from your choice of nutritious ingredients and as fresh as can be. The Chunky option takes a little longer as larger pieces of food take a little longer to be properly heated through, but in just 30 minutes the pre-programmed soup maker will make a delicious rustic soup that’s perfect for a winter’s day.

Steam and reheat

Another two easy-to-select functions for steaming or reheating. On the steam setting, ingredients are automatically heated to a preset programme, which takes about 40 minutes – as with the soup settings, just press the buttons and walk away.

Blend function

Blending without heating, this function means you can use your soup maker as a traditional jug blender to make sauces, salsa and more. It mixes in about 3 minutes, so if your recipe calls for something a bit gentler, you can use the...

Juice function

Perfect for a healthy start to any day or for cooling drinks on hot days, the Juice function lets you create delicious and nutritious smoothies, milkshakes and juice drinks.

Safe to use, easy to clean

A safety protection system means it’ll only start working once the lid is fastened correctly to the top of the jug. The intelligent control system prevents overspill and damage to the jug from using it empty or burning dry, and there’s an accurate temperature control sensor too, ensuring that food is cooked at the right heat.

And once you’ve finished your prep, just add water and a little washing-up liquid to the jug and hold down the Pulse button for a quick, effective clean.

Jug 1.5 litre. 23.5 x 18.5 x 41.5cm H. 2.5kg. Flex 80cm. 350W.

"Brilliant machines"

star star star star star

I have the previous model to this one. Yes they are noisey, but remember it has a very powerful motor to cope with chopping up raw food, and making it into soup. The machine never fails to make the most amazing soup. Always put the water in first, then add then the vegetables, that way they will not burn. If they do, it's so easy to clean. Why do some people always have to have a moan, thiese machines are just amazing. I love mine, and winter on its way, back to easy soup making

"Makes great soup .... but terribly noisy"

star star star star_border star_border

My overall impression of this product is good. It makes great soup. But I was dismayed by the noise it makes. So bad that it has been banished to the utility room for any future use

"Sticks and hard to clean"

star star star_border star_border star_border

I don’t find it particularly loud compared to other soup makers but I found that it sticks and burns on to the bottom of the jug. I have followed the instructions, sprayed it with oil and put in the stock first as suggested but it still sticks. It is then very difficult to clean as it doesn’t come apart and you can’t immerse it in water. I’ll probably go back to the usual method of saucepan and blender

support_agent A note from the team

We’re very sorry to hear it didn't meet your expectations and will email shortly to sort a refund for you. Our cleaning buyer has recommended baking soda - Baking soda is really good for burnt on starch – it loosens the bond to the surface. Baking soda, warm water, let soak. Agitate and rinse.

"Noisy"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I'd still give 5 stars for the soup, and ten stars for customer service, but this soup maker is still very loud, the bonus being it doesn't go on for the whole 14 minutes! Someone should really should check the decibel level!

support_agent A note from the team

Many thanks for your feedback, we're sorry you found it noisy.

"Lakeland digital soup maker"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

We’ve made our first soup batches for the winter. This is the first time we’ve used this blender and are impressed with the outcome. However, it is so noisy. I actually held onto it while it was mixing , just in case it was the vibrations of the worktop. But it wasn’t. Just got to leave the room while it’s on. Great machine but just ridiculously noisy.

support_agent A note from the team

We can confirm this is within the recommended decibels for this type of product, but we're sorry you found it too loud.
