Lakeland Personal Ice Cream Maker

Product number: 63484

There’s nothing more comforting than an indulgent bowl of ice cream in front of a film or your favourite box set… but rather than popping out to the shops to buy some, why not make your own? Home-made always tastes better, and our Personal Ice Cream Maker makes just the right amount for one person, so choose your flavour and tuck in. We’ve even included a spoon!

Not just for ice cream, you can make healthier options like frozen yoghurt and vegan-friendly sorbets too, and we’ve even included four delicious recipes to get you started.

What you get

  • Ice cream maker
  • Spoon
  • Instructions with 4 recipes

Easy to use

Simply freeze the inner pot for 8-12 hours – due to its compact size you can easily keep it in the freezer at all times, so it’s ready whenever you fancy some ice cream – then place it in the holder, pour in your chilled mixture, pop the lid on and switch it on. Simple! And in as little as 10 minutes you can enjoy your delicious bowl of home-made ice cream. For a more solid consistency, leave to churn for longer. You can customise your ice cream by adding in chocolate chips, fruit or nuts – be sure to use the provided spoon or a wooden spoon, as metal will damage the bowl.

Eat from the pot!

There’s no need for awkward scooping, as we’ve added a handle to the outer pot so that once the machine has finished churning, all you need to do is remove the lid (the power cable is attached to the lid), pick up the pot and enjoy.

Hand-churn option

If you want to save on the electricity or keep the kids occupied, forgo plugging in the ice cream machine and churn it yourself! As long as the bowl has been in the freezer for at least 8 hours and your mixture has been chilled, simply pour it in the bowl and get stirring until you have a nice soft-scoop consistency. It’s a fun activity for kids, they get to feel like they’ve made their own ice cream and then have the reward of eating it.

As with all Lakeland electricals, it’s been tested, tested and tested again until we’re confident it’s more than up to the task, is covered by our 3-year guarantee for added reassurance, and is a great price too!

"Used every day!"

star star star star star

I love this product and have used it almost daily since buying it. I am allergic to milk so I use my plain coconut-based yoghurt to make myself a delicious treat. I use cake flavourings like salted caramel and marzipan to flavour the mixture and have even added dairy-free chocolate drops to make choc-chip. I found that a spray of cooking spray before adding the mixture helped it not stick to the sides. Occassionally the freezing mixture pushes the paddle and lid up out of the container and the cable wraps around it (resulting in hilarity) so I recommend staying close by as it is running.

"Compact and easy"

Very easy to use and compact enough to not take up too much room in the freezer. I used a mix of ready-made custard and double cream - easy!

"Ideal Size"

star star star star star_border

I have always wanted an ice cream maker but have limited freezer space. This fits nicely in my freezer and made good ice cream and frozen yogurt.

"Disappointingly not worth the bother"

I so wanted this to work but it just doesn't. The cream freezes to the sides of the pot but barely freezes in the middle. The paddle and motor are too weak to mix anything more solid than a 'melting Mr Whippy' cream texture in the middle of a frozen cream walled pot. And there's a lot of waste and mess because you have to mix and chill the ingredients in the first place.
