"Touchscreen bread maker" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Wish I had never bought this I have owned several bread makers in the past usually Panasonic but thought this looked a good buy. How wrong I was I have tried the different menu's but each time bread comes out very solid and appears to go stale very quickly. I am so disappointed with this bread maker support_agent A note from the team We’re very sorry to hear it wasn't suitable and will email shortly to sort a refund for you. This could happen becaus the flour could have too low a protein content, there could be too much salt in the bread recipe, you did not knead it or leave it to proof long enough, or you could have killed the yeast by leaving the dough to rise in a place that was too hot.
"Slight fault" star star star star_border star_border So I just used this for the first time, and noticed before I started that one of the posts for the paddles is slightly shorter than the other, making the paddle a little loose (I swapped them about to see where the issue was). When I baked the loaf, the paddle was baked in as it had raised a bit during the kneading stage. Hopefully Lakeland have the ability to swap out the tin rather than me have to return everything for such a small issue. I would echo others: the pan is very hard to lift out and it should say lift out and press down firmly to insert. The turning nonsense doesn't work at all. support_agent A note from the team Thank you for your review. Using a palette knife around the sides and shaking the pan whilst the bread is still warm will allow the loaf to fall out easier. We'll be sure to pass your feedback onto our Buyers.
"not great quality...." star star_border star_border star_border star_border Used this once made a nice loaf but the lid broke and the viewing window filled up with condensation, which 5 hours later was still there. Instruction manual is a bit vague. But Lakeland gave me a refund on the spot. support_agent A note from the team Many thanks for placing your review on the Lakeland Touchscreen Bread Maker, ref 63483. We're glad we've been able to put this right for you.
"Our first Breadmaker" star star star star_border star_border I bought this breadmaker on impulse having visited Lakeland primarily to buy another knife for my Robert Welch collection. It's my first breadmaker so I cannot compare with others. It seems easy enough to use, though the instructions are poor and overcomplicated.Unlike others I had no difficulty whatsoever inserting/removing the bread tray. The first few loaves were perfect using ready made bread mix. For some reason the last few loaves have not risen properly using exactly the same settings which is rather disappointing.Any advise would be welcome? Hope it's not the machine! support_agent A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear the recent results haven't been as good - this may be caused by a number of things and there are suggestions in the 'Troubleshooting' pages of the instruction booklet. Check the water is carefully measured and not too hot or cold. Also lifting the lid during baking will affect the rise. All Lakeland products come with a 3 year Guarantee so you always have peace of mind should you need to return it.
