Lakeland Touchscreen Bread Maker and More

Product number: 63483

There’s nothing more delicious than the smell of freshly baked bread… except for maybe the taste! With a double-paddled loaf pan and multiple loaf sizes to choose from, our easy-to-use Touchscreen Bread Maker does all the work so you can easily get your bake on whenever you fancy a fresh loaf. And because the touchscreen panel is on the front rather than the top, it's really easy to access and use.

What you get

  • Bread machine.
  • Removable bread pan with handle.
  • 2 kneading blades.
  • Measuring cup.
  • Measuring spoon.
  • Hook to remove the kneading blades.
  • Instruction manual with recipes, hints and tips.

Easy-to-use touchscreen

Smart and sleek in silver and black, this attractive bread maker machine has a slightly unusual design, which makes it stand out from the crowd as far as we’re concerned. It features a large LED touchscreen display on the front that’s easy to use, with a Start/Stop button, simple option buttons and 12 preset functions: Basic Bread, Quick Bread, Sweet Bread, Whole Wheat Bread, Gluten Free Bread, Dough, Knead, Cake, Jam, Yoghurt, Bake and Custom. Whether you’re baking bread, cake, or making jam or yoghurt, the touchscreen display is clear to read and shows you which stage of the programme it’s currently on so you know at a glance how long is left.

Enjoy the perfect loaf

The 1.5kg capacity bread pan features two kneading blades, so you can choose your preferred loaf size from three options – 1kg, 1.25kg or 1.5kg – and you can pick from three different crust colours and adjust the time as needed too. And if you’re a real bread-making aficionado, the Custom programme lets you change the individual settings of the different bread preparation phases so you can customise your bread to exactly how you like.

Let’s bake

Simply measure out your ingredients with the included measuring cup and spoon, then add to the pan, pick your programme and press start. The lid has a handy viewing window on the top so you can easily check on the progress of your bread, and the machine will automatically keep your bread warm for 60 minutes when the programme has finished, so if you get delayed doing something else, you’ll still be able to enjoy that first just-out-the-machine warm slice. And if there’s a power cut during bread making, the bread maker will automatically keep going for up to 10 minutes, so you won’t have to reset it. Phew!

Delay Start feature

To make sure your bread is ready just when you want it, this bread maker features a Delay Start function – pop your ingredients in the pan the night before, set your programme and wake up to a freshly baked loaf for breakfast.

44 x 26 x 30cm H. 6kg. Flex 100cm. 850W.

This review is for an older version of this product

Wish I had never bought this I have owned several bread makers in the past usually Panasonic but thought this looked a good buy. How wrong I was I have tried the different menu's but each time bread comes out very solid and appears to go stale very quickly. I am so disappointed with this bread maker

support_agent A note from the team

We’re very sorry to hear it wasn't suitable and will email shortly to sort a refund for you. This could happen becaus the flour could have too low a protein content, there could be too much salt in the bread recipe, you did not knead it or leave it to proof long enough, or you could have killed the yeast by leaving the dough to rise in a place that was too hot.

"Slight fault"

star star star star_border star_border

So I just used this for the first time, and noticed before I started that one of the posts for the paddles is slightly shorter than the other, making the paddle a little loose (I swapped them about to see where the issue was). When I baked the loaf, the paddle was baked in as it had raised a bit during the kneading stage. Hopefully Lakeland have the ability to swap out the tin rather than me have to return everything for such a small issue. I would echo others: the pan is very hard to lift out and it should say lift out and press down firmly to insert. The turning nonsense doesn't work at all.

Thank you for your review. Using a palette knife around the sides and shaking the pan whilst the bread is still warm will allow the loaf to fall out easier. We'll be sure to pass your feedback onto our Buyers.

"not great quality...."

Used this once made a nice loaf but the lid broke and the viewing window filled up with condensation, which 5 hours later was still there. Instruction manual is a bit vague. But Lakeland gave me a refund on the spot.

"Our first Breadmaker"

star star star star_border star_border

I bought this breadmaker on impulse having visited Lakeland primarily to buy another knife for my Robert Welch collection. It's my first breadmaker so I cannot compare with others. It seems easy enough to use, though the instructions are poor and overcomplicated.Unlike others I had no difficulty whatsoever inserting/removing the bread tray. The first few loaves were perfect using ready made bread mix. For some reason the last few loaves have not risen properly using exactly the same settings which is rather disappointing.Any advise would be welcome? Hope it's not the machine!

support_agent A note from the team

Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear the recent results haven't been as good - this may be caused by a number of things and there are suggestions in the 'Troubleshooting' pages of the instruction booklet. Check the water is carefully measured and not too hot or cold. Also lifting the lid during baking will affect the rise. All Lakeland products come with a 3 year Guarantee so you always have peace of mind should you need to return it.
