Lakeland Touchscreen Bread Maker and More

Product number: 63483

There’s nothing more delicious than the smell of freshly baked bread… except for maybe the taste! With a double-paddled loaf pan and multiple loaf sizes to choose from, our easy-to-use Touchscreen Bread Maker does all the work so you can easily get your bake on whenever you fancy a fresh loaf. And because the touchscreen panel is on the front rather than the top, it's really easy to access and use.

What you get

  • Bread machine.
  • Removable bread pan with handle.
  • 2 kneading blades.
  • Measuring cup.
  • Measuring spoon.
  • Hook to remove the kneading blades.
  • Instruction manual with recipes, hints and tips.

Easy-to-use touchscreen

Smart and sleek in silver and black, this attractive bread maker machine has a slightly unusual design, which makes it stand out from the crowd as far as we’re concerned. It features a large LED touchscreen display on the front that’s easy to use, with a Start/Stop button, simple option buttons and 12 preset functions: Basic Bread, Quick Bread, Sweet Bread, Whole Wheat Bread, Gluten Free Bread, Dough, Knead, Cake, Jam, Yoghurt, Bake and Custom. Whether you’re baking bread, cake, or making jam or yoghurt, the touchscreen display is clear to read and shows you which stage of the programme it’s currently on so you know at a glance how long is left.

Enjoy the perfect loaf

The 1.5kg capacity bread pan features two kneading blades, so you can choose your preferred loaf size from three options – 1kg, 1.25kg or 1.5kg – and you can pick from three different crust colours and adjust the time as needed too. And if you’re a real bread-making aficionado, the Custom programme lets you change the individual settings of the different bread preparation phases so you can customise your bread to exactly how you like.

Let’s bake

Simply measure out your ingredients with the included measuring cup and spoon, then add to the pan, pick your programme and press start. The lid has a handy viewing window on the top so you can easily check on the progress of your bread, and the machine will automatically keep your bread warm for 60 minutes when the programme has finished, so if you get delayed doing something else, you’ll still be able to enjoy that first just-out-the-machine warm slice. And if there’s a power cut during bread making, the bread maker will automatically keep going for up to 10 minutes, so you won’t have to reset it. Phew!

Delay Start feature

To make sure your bread is ready just when you want it, this bread maker features a Delay Start function – pop your ingredients in the pan the night before, set your programme and wake up to a freshly baked loaf for breakfast.

44 x 26 x 30cm H. 6kg. Flex 100cm. 850W.

"Beware Of The Lock Screen"

star star star star_border star_border

I was just in the process of returning my second machine back as faulty when i found the part in the instructions booklet about the lockscreen, once you know about this then the machine is great, but the instructions are not clear or user friendly

support_agent A note from the team

We're sorry that you found the instructions to be unclear and we've certainly noted your feedback. We can confirm that the if the control panel is locked then the buttons won't work - to unlock press and hold the menu button for 3 seconds.

My partner and I bought two of these bread makers and they are a complete disaster! As other reviewers have mentioned, getting the bread basket in position is almost impossible. Having managed that and actually baked a loaf, the kneading paddles detached from the unit and stayed in the baked loaf! And just for good measure, the heating element on one of the units has failed completely after just one use! Hopeless piece of equipment and most unlike Lakeland to sell such junk.

support_agent A note from the team

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear this and we're glad we were able to put things right for you. The instructions for fitting the pan on page 13 have been amended - you just need to push the pan in so it locks in place. You can certainly grease the paddle with margarine or butter. This is common with all bread machines and we supply a hook in the pack to help easily remove these from the bread. It doesn't affect the bake or the results of the baked bread.

"great machine"

Putting the pan in the machine is fiddly but managed to work it out, a bit of push twist and its in firmly. Tried a few loaves on the basic programme, the loaves get better all the time. The small loaf is quite large, so I cut in half and freeze one for later. I tried programme 6 to make my own tcakes but didn't know whether or not to leave the tcakes after forming to rise again.I checked the reviews of the machine and another customer had the same problem advice was given by Lakeland as to what to do, so Thank you! Just wish the booklet was a bit more helpful.

"Good Breadmaker"

The product is nice looking and not too heavy to put in and out of the cupboard. Like others, I found the pan difficult to install, however sometimes it helps if you turn it around. It can still be difficult especially when filled with ingredients. The controls are simple to use. I would have liked the recipes to have been by weight instead of cups as this doesn't feel accurate. Occasionally I have found the bread rather soggy in the middle but this may be due to using the cup measures. Overall I like it but I'm still learning.

This is nice to look at and easy to use with the touch screen controls. I would however say the instructions on first use are very poor! It advises to stop the programme after 10 mins, but holding the stop button does not work unless you have unlocked the screen (it does not tell you how to this, so you have to go back and find the info on another page). First loaf just finished and overall very pleased.
