The 1.7litre Lakeland kettle is the best - it’s stylish quick and efficient

Not perfect but a good compromise! Following 2 Cuisanart kettles that both failed too soon, I decided to go against Which's advice and buy this. Yes, the minimum fill is a bit wasteful and the window a little difficult to see but soon got used to it - and I suspect the window won't break unlike both Cuisanarts! Yes, it's a little noisy but bearably so! Could it be better? The spout pours nicely but could be a tad bigger to make filling a little easier. Personally, I wouldn't choose the shiny lid and would prefer a little more grippy handle. Having said all that, I'm delighted with my choice!

I wanted a traditional kettle as find them easier to lift when full as they are more balanced than a jug kettle. Quick to boil and it switches off quickly when the water reaches boiling point unlike others that seem to have a delay after boiling point is reached.

Bought this kettle because of the advertised spec of 3000w power, which research told me to look for for fastest boiling and energy saving. Disappointed that this kettle actually takes longer to boil than my previous kettle (for the same quantity of water) and the instruction booklet reveals power is actually 2550-3000W, which suggests to me the advertised power is higher than actual power. Not a cheap kettle - it looks fine but is quite noisy and not at all what I’d call quick boiling. All in all I’m disappointed and feel a bit duped.

I am delighted with my new kettle. It is fast and well balanced when pouring. It also looks attractive.
