"Design improvement" star star star star star_border These face masks are so designed as to add an additional filter or filters in the sleeve, they are not meant to just be used on their own. Adding an internal filter will make them fit very close to your face as I found out. My regular 3 layer disposable mask slides into the sleeve and I prefer the wide soft ear elastics over these narrow grey ones, so they were cut off. Now I have a 5 layer perfectly fitted and comfortable mask. These Italian masks are exported to 4 countries.
"Comfortable for a 5 hour hospital treatment session" star star star star star_border I twisted the elastic and trapped the nose part under my glasses, my lenses did not steam up and the fitting was exactly the same as the medical ones I had been previously waiting and they tended to be quite damp after a hospital appt. I haven’t washed it as yet so can’t say anything about fading.
"Excellent Comfortable Masks" star star star star star_border I have a small adult face & find them a great fit, unlike some of the other reviewers. I separately purchased silicone toggles from a well known auction site & have fitted these to the elastic so that means they fit perfectly. Of course it would have been better if they had been supplied with the toggles included but a pack of 100 toggles was only a few pounds; the toggles can be placed so that they are not directly behind the ear but towards the lower side and that means you don't feel them at all. The curved design and pocket are excellent features. Colour has faded from the star design one.
"Not good enough, Lakeland !" star star_border star_border star_border star_border You really expect Lakeland, with their reputation for quality, to have sourced some very good masks. I have a small face so bought both the adult and children sizes in the hope of getting a good fit. The adult ones are enormous - made for giants, certainly not small women. Tying knots in the elastic as a bodged solution improves the situation somewhat, but the masks aren't really shaped or fitted so just gape on the front of my face. You'd think the children's ones would be better, but no - still huge and gaping.
