I lived in Spain for years and I bought this turrón there. It is good quality stuff and very popular over there. It should be remembered that turrón is Spanish and not to be confused with similar products such as Italian turrone or the French chewy nougat. Lakeland's detailed description is a good one I have just bought 4 packets for Christmas. Yummy!
I bought this nougat selection for my husband as a birthday present. He loves nougat and has tried Torrons before so I thought I knew what to expect. There is one traditional nougat, and an almond brittle (which isn’t nougat) and then 2 soft nougats which were a grainy texture, had little taste and were not enjoyable at all. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this and suggest you buy Lakeland’s more traditional nougat.
