3 cooking positions
No matter what type of food you’re cooking or how many people you’re catering for, this super-versatile machine lets you choose the ideal cooking position. If you’re in the mood for a toasted panini or a juicy steak, use it in the closed position as a contact grill or panini press – the floating hinge holds the upper plate gently over your food to cook your meat or panini quickly and evenly from both sides. Another option is to use it in the half-open position, with the lid fully upright – it clicks into place for safety – which allows you to use just the bottom plate for cooking your food. It also gives you the option to use it in the fully open position with the lid flat on the worktop, doubling your cooking surface – this is great for cooking more delicate ingredients as well as catering for the whole family.
Grill, griddle or both
You can really get your grill on with this machine: it comes with two sets of removable aluminium plates that are interchangeable, with one set for griddling and another pair for grilling. The ridged grill plates are ideal for getting those authentic grill marks on your food and are great for cooking sausages, fish, paninis, chicken breasts, vegetables and much more, while the flat griddle plates help you make fried eggs and pancakes. You can either use each pair of plates together, or mix and match by using one of each plate – perfect for making a cooked breakfast. The included spatula lets you remove any stuck on food and the plates are dishwasher safe for an easy clean up when you’re finished.
Easy to use
Heating up really quickly so it’s ready to go in no time, it has an easy-to-use variable temperature dial which gives you complete control so you can switch between the high temperature of 240°C for searing steaks, or use a lower one for gentler cooking of fish and vegetables. The adjustable timer dial lets you set a countdown for up to 30 minutes and beeps when your food is ready, so you can be getting on with other kitchen tasks while it’s cooking your meal – and you’ll know that your steak is perfectly cooked too.
