Grey Faux Fur Microwavable Slippers

I gave these slippers to my daughter-in-law as she suffers from painful joints and cold feet. She was very pleased with the comfort and warmth the slippers provided and thought they would be really good in the colder winter months.

It was a frosty night in October, my feet were blue with the cold, I reached for my microwave slippers, the ones that Lakeland sold. I duly heated the bead bags and slid them into the booties. What luxury, what delightful pleasure. Blissfully warm, cosy, wee tootsies. A wonderful prospect before me, no more cold feet before heading to bed. A winter of sheet contentment. No icy toes, snuggly comfort instead. Soothing, relaxing, inspiring - hmmmmmm! Warmer feet than I've ever had before. PLUS my cat loves to cuddle in beside them, an added bonus.

The slippers are beautifully soft and inviting. Once heated in the microwave, the pads provided can be slipped into the front pockets on the slippers. Initially, I was underwhelmed at the amount of heat [and the degree of scent!] but it seemed to improve as time wore on and certainly lasted for a long while. It leaves toes feeling 'toasty' and I imagine would be a real boon for those with poor circulation or painful joints. Walking with the pads in the slippers does add weight though. However, the slippers are really cute and comfy to wear even without the pads!

Incredibly soft slipper boots in a lovely light grey. The removable scented pads are heated in the microwave and slipped into a pocket on the top of the foot section of the slipper. It took a while to get used to the feeling of having an extra weight on top of my foot (especially as I have quite a high instep) but I hardly notice it now and the warm, lavender scented sensation is very welcome after being on my feet all day at work.

I passed on these slippers to my stepdaughter because I need more support for my feet than they offer. I am a size 4 and she is size 6 but they fit both of us well. She loves them! They are cosy, comfortable and she wears them every day. They certainly look attractive too. She hasn't yet tried the microwaveable inserts but is looking forward to doing so when the weather gets colder. Her only concern is how durable they will be.
