Lakeland Leaf Tea Stick Infuser

I wanted a tea infuser that had long enough handle that wouldn't sit within the hot cup I was using for making loose leaf tea. This tea infuser is easy to use and the leaf stick definitely sits above the water-line/ tea cup to avoid burning fingers when removing the device from the cup. It is easy to use and to clean. The device doesn't come apart within the cup either. My only grumble is that there are no holes at the base of the infuser, so be warned that when you remove the whole device from the cup and place it on the little collecting tray, you will get a bit liquid filling up the tray.

I hoped this little infuser would allow me to experiment with the vast range of loose leaf teas out there - alas I was wrong. I filled it for the first time (Twinings Earl Grey so a good quality brand), made sure the 2 halves were firmly together and put it into the cup of boiling water.....only for tea leaves to immediately begin escaping through the holes. The whole point of using one of these was so I wouldn't have to get the teapot out for a single cup or mug but I guess it is back to teabags for me.
