Think one kind of fondant icing is pretty much the same as any other? You haven’t tried Renshaw’s Extra Sugar Paste.
Extra-firm, extra-stretchy and extra-smooth (we can’t work out how Renshaw came up with its name), it rolls out more thinly and tears less easily than standard ready-to-roll icing, so it’s perfect when you need to cover large, deep or multi-tiered cakes, or novelty cakes with sharp edges or sticky-out bits.
Rolling out to 2-3mm thick without tearing or splitting – rather than the 5mm that’s recommended for ready-to-roll icing – it has a silky-smooth, professional-looking finish. The extra elasticity makes it ideal for sculpting simple models to decorate your bakes, and it’s the perfect partner for flexible silicone moulds like the ones in our Katy Sue Designs range.
