Lakeland Easter Egg Hot Chocolate Melt

An Easter egg with a difference – but still with a lovely surprise inside! Drop it into a mug, add hot milk... and watch the magical transformation as it melts to make a richly creamy, indulgent hot chocolate… and the mini marshmallows hidden inside pop to the top!

It’s a lovely way to give kids a chocolatey treat, and any hot chocolate lover would love to receive one (or two!) of these in place of a boring old ‘ordinary’ Easter egg.

To unleash the chocolatey magic…

Place the hot chocolate Easter egg into a mug.
Slowly pour 255ml of hot milk over the top.
Watch as the egg melts and the mini marshmallows escape and bob to the top.
Stir well until all the chocolate has melted, then enjoy your delicious hot chocolate.

"The Thing"

Fans of John Carpenter's The Thing will appreciate this Easter treat. Watch closely as a discoloured molten mess emerges from its chocolate cocoon to froth and swell as if to escape from your cup itself. Drink with caution. I enjoyed watching this spectacle more than I enjoyed drinking it. Children may be disturbed.
