Simple to learn and fun to play, Nine 2 Nothing is a fast-paced, numbers-based card game that will have everyone hooked. Perfect for all ages, it’s a great way to help children develop their number skills too. The aim of the game? Be the first to get rid of your cards! Following the rules of course, you can’t just throw them away…

How to play

• Each player is dealt 9 cards.
• The remaining cards are placed face down in a draw pile.
• Turn over the top card and place it next to the draw pile.
• If the first card is a 7 then you lay down a 6; you can put down as many sixes as you have in your hand, and then the next player needs to lay down a 5, and so on.
• If you don’t have the right number when it’s your turn, you pick up a card from the draw pile.
• Carry on until you get to 0, then start back at 9 again.
• If the draw pile runs out of cards – flip over the discarded card pile (without shuffling) and carry on the game.
• There are 2 wild cards that can be used as any number (these are the cards you want!).
• The winner is the first person to lay down all their cards – let the fun begin!

Looking for a way to pass the time on a family holiday, and bored of card games she already knew, Summer made up her own game and soon had the other holiday makers playing too.
