A fabulous addition to our own-label range of sweet and savoury treats, this Barbecue Sauce adds something really special to almost any barbecue dish, and it’s made for us right here in Cumbria.
The taste sensations start with onion and tomato and build through piquant layers of honey sweetness to garlic, paprika and red chilli peppers, including a few chipotle peppers – but not too many for comfort! Use it as a marinade for pork, chicken or vegetables before stir-frying. Add it to casseroles and soups for a hint of spice, or use instead of ketchup to accompany your favourite steak, burgers, bacon and sausages.

Speciality producers of award-winning preserves handmade in the English Lake District, the team at Hawkshead Relish started as café owners but discovered that customers wanted to be able to take a jar of their delicious home-made condiments home, as a souvenir of a memorable meal in Hawkshead. Having started in 2001 with three products, they now offer well over 100 and are always inventing more… production has moved to a 16th century barn just outside the village and our Food Buying Team just love going to visit to try out new flavours…
