Product number: 62584
Stuck for a quick and tasty snack? Then try our ingenious Lakeland Mini Snack Bite Maker and create fresh and delicious eggy bites or sweet bakes, perfectly cooked in minutes and all without needing to turn on the oven or use a pan.
Clever, compact design
This nifty little electric snack maker is compact in size so it won’t take up much room in your kitchen, and includes four lift-out silicone cups with handles so you can make four little bites in one go. Or, you can remove the cups and cook directly on the hotplate to make pancakes or fry eggs. It has sturdy non-slip feet and a safety clip to hold the lid down during cooking, while the silicone cups and the Teflon-coated non-stick aluminium plates allow for easy release and cleaning when you’re finished, making it a doddle to use.
Versatile cooking
Great for whipping up mini sweet or savoury bites for a quick and easy breakfast or snack, it’s ideal for creating ‘sous-vide’ type egg bites, mini omelettes, tiny frittatas and other mini snacks that can be eaten by themselves, popped in a bread bun or added to a salad. It’s brilliant for making healthy protein-packed snacks, and you can easily batch cook in advance, so you can store your bites ready for when you need them. This clever little machine even comes with recipes to get you started, including cheesy egg bites and chocolate muffin bites, which are cooked in the silicone cups, as well as a few which can be cooked directly on the hotplate, such as a mini frittata, fried egg, hash browns and pancakes.
Easy to use
This smart little machine is quick and easy to use – simply plug it in and switch on. The indicator light will come on to show it’s on and heating up. After a few minutes, the light will go out and it’s ready to use.
Cook with the cups…
If using the silicone cups, fill one of the cups with water and gently pour it onto the lower hotplate – this allows steam to be produced during cooking so your egg bites cook evenly. Add your ingredients or batter to each cup, filling them ¾ full – so they have room to expand – then close the lid. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, or until all the water has evaporated, then carefully lift the lid to check progress – some recipes may need a longer cooking time. Once finished, switch off and unplug the machine, then remove the silicone cups by holding their little handles and turn them upside down to release your snack bites.
… or without
If cooking without the silicone cups, preheat the machine until the indicator light turns off, then carefully lift the lid and spray a little oil on the plates – you can also brush the plates with oil before heating up. Place your ingredients or batter on the lower hotplate and close the lid to cook. Once cooked, use a non-metal spatula to carefully remove your food from the hotplate, then switch off and unplug the machine.
Please note: the machine can get very hot, so always wear oven gloves when using it.
