If you’ve always wanted to have a go at making your own sushi rolls, an essential ingredient is the seaweed wrap that encloses the rice and fillings. Crisp, savoury and rich with umami flavour, the Sushi Nori Roasted Seaweed sheets in this pack are pre-cut and ready to use.

Roll with it

So easy to use, just a place sheet of nori onto a bamboo rolling mat, then spread your cooked rice in a thin layer over the nori, leaving a space at the top and bottom for sealing. Add your fillings along the middle of the rice and begin rolling the nori carefully around the rice and filling, using the mat to help keep the shape. Once rolled, cut evenly and serve – traditionally with soy sauce, wasabi paste and pickled ginger.

Not just for sushi rolls, nori also makes a great topping for salads or can be used in noodle soup to add extra flavour and texture.

Although it’s recently become trendy and gained superfood status, seaweed has been used in cuisine all over the world for thousands of years, especially in Asian diets. Packed with nutrients, this natural flavour enhancer can also be dried and crushed then sprinkled over salads, into soups and added to stir-fries.
