Ideal for European, Asian and Global knives, it features precision sharpening guides, controlled speeds, and high-performance sharpening belts, so it’s easy to use and gentle on blades. It also comes with a ceramic honing rod, so you can maintain your knife edges and keep them in perfect condition for all that chopping and slicing.

Simple to use

Press the button to turn on the machine, align your knife with the guide in the first slot and slowly draw the blade through it, from heel to tip. Then repeat in the second slot to sharpen the other side, and keep alternating sides until the machine automatically shuts off. You can test if the knife is sufficiently sharp by slicing a tomato or bell pepper – repeating the process if not – then use the honing rod to hone the edge as the final step.

One-touch programming

With timing software built in, this clever machine has a simple one-button LED light system which makes the sharpening stages easy to follow. Simply push the button to shape, sharpen and refine, and it’ll automatically adjust the speed and running time to match the degree of sharpening needed.

Sharpening guides

Eliminating guesswork and uneven sharpening, the two sharpening guides help create a precise 17° Work Sharp edge every time, so your knives will perform like new or better and stay sharp for longer.

Sharpening belts

This machine uses a professional grade sharpening belt that’s engineered specially to sharpen your knives without removing too much material. Featuring a premium engineered abrasive, the belt is capable of doing all the hard work of shaping, sharpening and refining, and creates a convex cutting edge that stays sharper for longer. There’s also an extra belt stored inside the unit.

Ceramic honing rod

In addition to the main machine, there’s also a 20cm (8”) ceramic honing rod with fine and coarse grit. The two built-in angle guides allow for quick, easy and consistent edge refinement, so you can rest assured that you’ve honed the blade at the correct angle. Just a few strokes before each slicing job will keep the blade honed so it won’t need sharpening so often.

MicroForge

For enhanced cutting performance, edge durability and improved knife control, the honing rod also features a MicroForge port, which applies micro-facets along the cutting edge through a cold forging process. The resulting combination of straight and faceted edges is ideal for slicing fruit, vegetables, cooked meats and freshly baked bread.][{Integrated no-mess vacuum system
