Perfect for use with a stencil, this 24 carat gold leaf transfer sheet is made from real gold (we promise it’s edible!), and is a worthy extravagance when you’re pushing the boat out for fancy celebration desserts, golden wedding anniversary cakes, or bakes for a special couple tying the knot.

How to use

It pays to take a little care when using this precious metal, but the results are so worth it. Using scissors, and avoiding excessive contact with your fingers, cut out your required shape. Very lightly brush your chosen surface with a little cool boiled water, diluted edible glue or confectioner’s glaze, covering an area slightly larger than required for the transfer. Using a very soft brush, position the transfer and press gently (take care as it can’t be repositioned); leave for a minute, peel off the backing paper using tweezers, and allow leave for 24 hours to dry hard.
