1 "Mrs Reavell" Mrs Reavell 16 March 2021 I have used the Wilton product the you use to stock for years with no problems and I would have given it 5* but I do not find the PME Release-a-Cake as good. I shake it well and use a pastry brush to apply a small amount to the tins but I find that my cakes now stick when previously they didn't. Sadly I won't be buying another bottle and will be looking elsewhere to buy the Wilton brand instead. A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment and I'll be in touch to help.
5 "Release-a-cake" Mrs Harrison 28 February 2021 Works really really well. Nothing else is as effective, never have to line tins if I use this
5 "Best ever" Mrs archer 11 February 2021 I have been using this item for a few years now and can’t understand why there are so many complaints about it. It’s literally the only product that has worked for me consistently where others have failed. For example, I have used sunflower or veggie oil to stop my rolls or cakes sticking to the baking tin and no matter how much i had put on they still got stuck. With this product all I have to do is to put on a thin lawyer and nothing sticks to the baking tin. Absolutely love it!
1 "Oily and greasy" Tina 29 January 2021 Really don’t like this. Followed all the instructions. Has an oily texture. The Wiltons one was more of a paste. If you are only going to stock this I will look for Wiltons elsewhere. A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear it didn't meet expectations - it works best when shaken first with a few drops poured into the tin and spread using a brush. I'll be in touch to help.
1 "Awful" Mrs Lambert 22 January 2021 I regularly make waffles using a waffle iron on my gas stove. They have never been a problem. I used to grease the waffle iron with Wilton Cake Release from Lakeland. When I ordered cake release this time it had a different formula but I decided to try it out. What a disaster! The waffles stuck and when I did get them out they were greasy and horrible. What happened to the Wilton Cake Release? It was brilliant. Why change it. A note from the team We recommend that the bottle is shaken well before use and only a fine layer is applied to the waffle iron; it works in a slightly different way to the Wilton Cake Release.
